Biography

Shannen is an attorney at Everett Dorey, where she specializes in defending clients in complex civil litigation, premises liability, construction litigation, insurance defense, immigration law, and employment law.

She earned her Juris Doctor from the University of California, Irvine, School of Law. While in law school, Shannen served as an Associate Editor for both the UC Irvine Law Review and the UC Irvine Journal of International, Transactional, and Comparative Law. Before graduating from law school, she also participated in the Harvard Law Legal Aid Bureau as a Certified Student Attorney, where she conducted hearings in the Boston Municipal Court, and she also completed a Summer Clerkship at the Immigration Center for Women and Children. During her first year of law school, Shannen served as a Juvenile Immigration Removal Defense Researcher at the Immigrant Defenders Law Center. To supplement her academic and practical experience during her time at UCI Law, she was also elected as the Finance Chair and 1L Representative for the Law Students for Immigration Justice, and as Secretary of the American Constitution Society.

Prior to her legal studies, Shannen obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History from University of California, Irvine.
